Epic adventure
This time two weeks ago I was at WPPI in Las Vegas, going to endless photography/marketing/business classes and learning so much I felt like my head was going to explode. While I was over in the US I figured I’d take the opportunity to see a bit of the country and ended up doing an epic roadtrip from New York to Los Angeles.
Like a true photographer, I mostly took pictures on my phone (a real camera is WAY too heavy when travelling around!) – but here are a few shots I took along the way..
New York, New York! It was amazing. I did a 3 hour walking tour which ended up being about 6 hours just because we were having so much fun.
On to Washington DC and an evening tour of the monuments.
New Orleans! Possibly my favourite place that I visited – I love the old architecture, cute little alleyways and quirky shops.
Texas y’all.
Monument Valley was amazing – slept in a traditional Navajo hut, saw the sunrise and trampled about in the snow.
This is the road Forest Gump stopped running. Apparently it’s a thing, but it was pretty awesome to look at.
We got lead to the edge of the Grand Canyon blindfolded for a big reveal, if you ever go there, I highly recommend doing it that way! Scary but awesome.
And finally, back in New York.. well, Vegas’s version of New York! I actually enjoyed Vegas much more than I was expecting. Yes it’s tacky and garish, but the detail that has gone into some of the construction is definitely worth appreciating.
So that’s an epic 5 week adventure boiled down to a few photos, phew!
