Lucy and Kevin’s Paddington, Powerhouse and West End wedding was an absolute delight to photograph – from the AMAZING yellow dress, to the gorgeous button bouquets, to the Alice in Wonderland themed props and decorations. To this day it remains one of my favourite weddings and I’m so very thankful to have been invited down the rabbit hole to document it.
Lucy and Kevin chose to do a first look portrait session before the ceremony, which was an amazing experience for them and allowed us all time to relax and get great photos without the risk of the sun setting on us or having to rush off to the reception. I can’t recommend first looks highly enough, it’s a lovely experience for everyone involved. Unless you’re the sort who throws salt over your shoulder or who runs from black cats, there’s really no practical reason why you can’t see each other before the ceremony and this way, you get to have your private moment together, not with a room full of people watching your every move (which is daunting to begin with!) AND you’ll get much better portrait photos out of it.
